Description:

  • Assist State auditors during sales/use tax audits of [client] and its subsidiaries
  • Perform tax research and review contracts in conjunction with tax audits
  • Ensure all payments are made timely, all waivers signed and filed as necessary, and all protests and hearing dates are met
  • Assist in the implementation of corrective action plans developed during an audit
  • Prepare audit protests and work with auditors to ensure minimum tax liability
  • Identify potential tax savings opportunities
  • Assist in ensuring compliance with internal control procedures
  • Develop and implement individual and group training
  • Assist in the development and implementation of proactive process improvements
  • Work on Special projects


Minimum Education/Experience Required:

  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting
  • 6-8 years of demonstrated in-depth Tax or Accounting experience, including at least 4 years of Sales
  • Tax and/or Audit experience
  • Sales Tax Compliance, Research, and Audit experience in a multi-state tax environment
